Stainless steel producer Aperam wants its European activities to be CO2-neutral in 2050. In connection with this long-term ambition, the listed company has announced new environmental objectives.

By 2030, the company wants to have already reduced 15 percent of its CO2 emissions compared to the emissions in 2015. In addition, energy consumption must have fallen by 11 percent and water consumption by 40 percent. These goals replace previous goals for the year 2020. Nothing has been said about possible financial consequences.
