Apple is no longer releasing its long-awaited AirPower, TechCrunch writes. The charging mat to charge devices wirelessly would not meet Apple’s quality standard. Apple CEO Dan Riccio says in a statement that the development has been stopped. “AirPower cannot meet our high standards,” he writes. “We apologize to people looking forward to the appearance of this product.” The AirPower was announced in 2017. Apple promised that users could simultaneously charge their iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods wirelessly. Most charging mats can charge one device at a time. The charger was postponed several times due to alleged production problems. It is not known what the device would cost.
