Confidence in the eurozone economy declined in July compared to a month earlier. The European Commission reported this.

The index with which the committee measures confidence went from 103.3 in June to 102.7 this month. Economists generally calculated at a level of 102.6. There was a slight reduction in economic confidence throughout the European Union.

According to the committee, confidence declined, particularly in industry and construction, and to a lesser extent in the service sector and retail trade. Consumer confidence increased.
