Wholesale company Sligro has received the green light from the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) for the acquisition of Wheere. According to the regulator, sufficient competition remains after the deal.

Sligro announced at the beginning of May that the Exploitatiemaatschappij Wheere will be taken over. No financial details were disclosed. Part of the agreement are the activities of Vroegop Ruhe & Co, consisting of food wholesaler De Kweker, Vroegop AGF and transport company L.A.J. Duncker.

At the time, Sligro expressed the expectation that the transactions would probably be formalized within a few months.
