Fashion chain Primark achieved a higher turnover in the first nine months of its broken financial year. British parent company Associated British Foods reported this in an interim trade report. Sales for Primark in the period ended June 22 increased by 4 percent on an annual basis. The addition of new stores benefited from this. AB Foods states that sales were under pressure due to the changeable weather in May, but sales improved in June. Good profitable growth for Primark is expected for the entire financial year. Turnover increased by 3 percent for the whole of AB Foods, which is also active in the grocery and sugar sector. Expectations for the entire year are maintained.
