The Swiss reinsurer Swiss Re is considering canceling the IPO of its UK division ReAssure Group. The reason for that decision would be a disappointing interest from investors, sources reported to news agency Bloomberg. According to the sources, Swiss Re could decide to have the IPO take place at a later time. Conversations with potential investors would still be ongoing. Swiss Re recently announced that ReAssure should be listed in London this month. The IPO would involve an amount of 3.7 billion euros converted. An IPO gives ReAssure further opportunities to grow. ReAssure focuses primarily on the British market, but also wants to grow in Germany and the Netherlands.
