Shell has discovered a deep-sea oil field in the American part of the Gulf of Mexico. The oil and gas group reports that work is currently being done on evaluating and investigating the possibilities for developing the field. “Blacktip is Shell’s second material discovery in the Perdido Corridor and is part of an ongoing exploration strategy to add competitive deep-water options,” said Andy Brown, Shell’s Upstream Director.
