UBS Group reportedly examines its options for the asset management branch. Bloomberg news agency reports on the basis of insiders that the Swiss financial group would consider a partial sale or merger with DWS for the part. That is Deutsche Bank’s asset manager.

The Swiss would also look for opportunities to grow the equity management branch. According to sources, scaling up is considered crucial for sustaining activities amid fierce competition from the United States.

UBS did not want to respond to the message itself. Earlier there were rumors that the German company Allianz was also considering merging its asset management activities with DWS.
