Consumer goods maker Unilever recommends Susan Kilsby to take a seat on the board. If the shareholders approve their nomination at the beginning of May, she would be serving as a non-executive director from 1 August. That role is similar to that of the Commissioner.

Kilsby has extensive experience as a banker. She was also commissioner at cosmetics brand L’Occitane, pharmaceutical company Shire and drinks giant Diageo.

The shareholders can also vote at the shareholders’ meeting at the beginning of May on the reappointment of directors Nils Andersen, Laura Cha, Vittorio Colao, Marijn Dekkers, Andrea Jung, Judith Hartmann, Mary Ma, Strive Masiyiwa, Youngme Moon, Graeme Pitkethly, John Rishton and Feike Sijbesma . The appointment of CEO Alan Jope as executive member of the board is also on the agenda.
