Zurich Insurance Group, the largest insurance company in Switzerland, active in 210 countries, uses InShared to further digitize. With the so-called OutShared platform of the online insurance company, Zurich wants to improve its mobile activities.

Achmea, the parent company of InShared, has been opening the IT platform of the online brand to other insurers since 2016. This happens under the name OutShared. Other insurers can use the start-up expertise and experience with digitization that InShared has gained in its nine-year existence. The platform focuses on full online service, from policy management to claims handling. With the deployment of OutShared, Zurich wants to increase customer satisfaction for digital and mobile services.

Shift to services

“InShared is known for its efficient customer service and high customer satisfaction. It is nice that the underlying technology is also available for other insurers. Part of our strategy is the shift from insurance to services, in addition to our insurance proposition. The cooperation with Zurich fits in well with this, “says Achmea director Robert Otto in a press release.

Canada

Zurich is not the first foreign party to turn to Achmea for the OutShared platform. Last year, the insurer announced in Canada, together with a local party, to set up an online insurance company. Division chairman Pieter Louter from Centraal Beheer left for Canada. He uses the OutShared platform to realize the digital plans.
