The reason for the fire would have been smoking crack, reports The Mirror. “We were terribly worried when we saw the scene” The 37-year-old Blake, who divorced the singer in 2009 after a tumultuous marriage, lives on the seventh floor of the flat. He would have invited a number of neighbors to “come and smoke” with him. That apparently didn’t go very well, when other neighbors raised the alarm and called the fire department after they saw thick, black smoke coming from Blake’s apartment. “We could see the smoke and smell it. We also saw him leave from his floor to a higher floor. He said ‘dude, it’s just a bit of smoke’. We were terribly worried when we watched the scene” neighbor. Blake was first taken to the hospital for investigation, after which he was arrested on suspicion of arson.
