Life Cell phones not welcome at Madonna’s new tour By weekster Posted on 2 weeks ago 2 min read Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Fans who plan to visit a show on Madonna’s Madame X World Tour will experience a “telephone-free experience.” The singer has announced this via Ticketmaster, which sells the tickets. The use of a cell phone, smart watch, camera or other recording equipment is not permitted in the concert hall. Visitors must check in advance where they are in the room, because they no longer have access to the scanned card on their phone after entering. The devices are stored in a special cupboard that can be opened again afterwards. Whoever wants to call in between, must pick up his or her phone and go to a separate room that is set up for this. After calling, the cell phone is taken again. Fans who secretly make recordings are evicted from the building. There is a mixed response to social media. Some fans think it’s a good idea, because they can enjoy the show for the full 100%. People are also happy that they do not have to constantly look up at arms and telephones that are raised. Other fans find it ridiculous and think that the Queen of Pop is afraid that material will be filmed from a bad performance. The opponents are particularly angry that they have to pay so much money for a ticket and they cannot take photos or videos. The Madame X tour starts on September 17 in Brooklyn and ends on March 4, 2020 in Paris.
