But let’s not talk too hard about it before someone thinks here: wait a minute, she shouldn’t get that oeuvre prize at all.” The American Cinematheque Award is awarded annually to “an extraordinary filmmaker who works enthusiastically and makes a significant contribution to the world of film.” In a report, the jury of the organization praises Charlize for her contribution to the film world and for refuting outdated ideas about what an actress and producer can do. The jury chairman said: “Her career does show that her immense talent cannot be placed in a box or that it can be limited.”
