Life Demi Lovato receives bins with criticism about Israel trip By weekster Posted on October 4, 2019 1 min read Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Demi Lovato recently returned to the United States after a long journey through Israel, and immediately had to apologize for choosing her holiday country. On her Instagram Story she responds to the criticism about her alleged “support” for Israel, which has been in conflict with the Palestinians for years. “I’m sorry if I hurt or offended anyone” “I was offered a free trip to Israel in exchange for a few Instagram posts about my vacation. No one told me there was anything wrong with that or that I could offend anyone,” the singer says. “But I am sorry if I hurt or offended anyone, that was not my intention.” Lovato emphasized that for her it was about the spiritual experience, not about making a political statement. During her journey through Israel, the pop star was baptized in the Jordan. “I am an American singer. I was raised Christian and have Jewish ancestors. When I had the opportunity to visit places I know from stories from the Bible I said yes,” Demi writes.
