Disney released the more than two-minute taster during an American Football broadcast, and released the trailer online not much later. Much of the trailer revolves around the mysterious bond between the characters of Daisy Ridley and Adam Driver, Rey and Kylo Ren. Just like in earlier trailers, Carrie Fisher also appears as General Leia Organa. The actress, who died at the end of 2016, no longer experienced the recording of the new epic, but director J.J. With previously recorded images, Abrams managed to get her character back in the new film. The trailer came out on Monday on what Fisher’s 63rd birthday had been. The Rise Of Skywalker is the latest in the so-called Skywalker saga. It consists of the nine Star Wars films that have been released since 1977 and revolve around the story of Luke Skywalker. Disney has plenty of plans for new films taking place within the Star Wars universe, the first of which is planned for 2022. Fans will not have to do without their favorite space opera until then: Disney + streaming service will come with a live action next month Star Wars series, The Mandalorian.
