Life FBI investigates Gislane Maxwell, friend of Jeffrey Epstein By weekster Posted on December 27, 2019 3 min read Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ The American intelligence service FBI has started an investigation which also includes Ghislaine Maxwell. She was a confidant of Jeffrey Epstein for decades. The American died in jail this year awaiting a major case of sexual abuse. Two prosecutors who are familiar with the investigation into Epstein and his associates would confirm that, writes The Guardian. The FBI itself refuses to comment. The English prince Andrew would not fall under the investigation. After Epstein died in his cell at the age of 66, his British alleged henchman seems to have disappeared from the face of the earth. The English tabloid The Sun wrote in November that the FBI knew exactly where Maxwell was and was watching her. But her whereabouts did not become concrete until now. The intelligence service is probably first focusing on the people who would have helped Epstein. According to the two sources, Prince Andrew is not included. According to The Guardian, they do not exclude him from being examined at a later stage. Conviction The 58-year-old Maxwell is seen as one of the people who ensured that the American investor could go his own way for decades. Epstein was convicted once in 2008, but then closed a deal with the then prosecutor Alexander Acosta and came out with a low penalty. Epstein then declared guilty of the sexual abuse of a minor girl. The deal cost Acosta the head earlier this year. After a storm of criticism, he put his ministerial post in the office of President Donald Trump. Great ones of the earth Ghislaine Maxwell is the daughter of media magnate Robert Maxwell. He drowned in 1991 when he fell into the sea from his yacht. After the death of her father, she moved to New York, where she became a welcome guest at parties.
