The animation raised nearly 124 million dollars during the long weekend after Thanksgiving, the best score ever around this holiday. The previous record for the Thanksgiving weekend was in the name of another sequel: Catching Fire, the second part of the The Hunger Games series. That film raked in around 109 million dollars in 2013 during the long party weekend at the end of November. Frozen 2 also did well internationally, according to Variety. The film about princesses Anna and Elsa raised 164 million there in his second week, bringing the total to 739 million. The sequel is well on its way to becoming the sixth Disney film this year that exceeds the billion dollar limit. Earlier, Avengers: Endgame, The Lion King, Captain Marvel, Aladdin and Toy Story 4 already sold more than a billion dollars worth of cinema tickets.
