The Brit has announced on Wednesday that he will come up with a new musical project with which he will tour Europe next May. For his new work The Nearer the Fountain, More Pure the Stream Flows, 51-year-old Damon was inspired by Icelandic nature. Damon, who is a big fan of the country and can often be found there, sings during the concerts, plays instruments and is accompanied by a small orchestra. In addition, images of Icelandic filmmakers are projected on a screen. Dutch fans can watch the special show on 21 May in Muziekgebouw Eindhoven. Damon also travels to cities such as Budapest, Dublin, Paris and Brussels. A performance in Iceland has not yet been announced.
