Life Harvey Weinstein process may take two months By weekster Posted on November 15, 2019 1 min read Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Jury members in the Harvey Weinstein trial are asked to keep their agenda free for about two months. The first case against the fallen film producer starts on January 6 in New York. Weinstein is on trial for five cases of rape and sexual abuse, allegedly taking place in 2006 and 2013. In addition to the two alleged victims, the New York Post says four other accusers are being heard during the trial, including actress Annabella Sciorra. If he is found guilty in the case, the co-founder of studio Miramax can get a life sentence. Weinstein is also accused by another dozen women of sexual misconduct, ranging from intimidation to rape. His lawyers have asked the judge to put all other cases on hold so that the former film producer can focus on the trial in New York in the coming months.
