The film is submitted as a candidate in the best foreign feature film category. Film institute Eye, which organizes the selection, announced it on Monday. The psychological thriller tells about a psychologist (Carice van Houten) who develops feelings for a TBS patient (Marwan Kenzari) whom she treats. The film had its world premiere at the Locarno Film Festival in August, where it was awarded the Variety Piazza Grande Award. The North American premiere takes place next weekend during the Toronto International Film Festival. Mid-January it will be announced who the five nominees are in the best foreign film category. The last Dutch nomination in this category was De Gemini in 2004. The last time the Netherlands actually won the statue was in 1998 for Karakter by Mike van Diem.
