He did this together with Jane Fonda and her Fire Drill Fridays movement. During his acceptance speech at the Golden Globes, the actor also spoke about combating climate change. “It’s great that people pray for Australia, but we have to do more than that,” he said during his speech. “Hopefully we can come together and make real changes.” He also addressed the crowd on Friday about his own struggle with climate change. “Some things I cannot ignore. I have taken a plane to be here, but I can adjust my diet. I hope you do the same.” The Golden Globes served for the first time a complete vegetable menu during the ceremony on Sunday. It is the last time that Fonda is organizing the Fire Drill Fridays in Washington. The actress was arrested several times, and now asked a group of 300 others to also be arrested for civil disobedience. Famous people such as Susan Sarandon, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Martin Sheen were also present at the protest on Friday.
