Life Johny Depp encounters a boycott in Holywood By WeeklyNews staff Posted on 6 seconds ago 2 min read Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Johnny Depp discovers that he is being disowned in Hollywood after his notorious divorce from Amber Heard and the lawsuit that followed. That’s what he says in an interview with The Sunday Times. The 58-year-old actor did promotional interviews for his new film Minamata, but that subject actually became secondary during the conversation. The film is released in the United Kingdom, but not yet in Australia and the United States. The project was ‘shelved’ for some time, because the film company did not want to risk a film with Depp. According to the actor, this is partly due to film distributor MGM, who believes that Depp’s legal concerns do the film no good. The boycott of Hollywood…well. A man, an actor who has been in an unpleasant situation for years. I only look forward and will see to it that the truth comes to light. Depp and Heard ransacked for years after their tumultuous marriage came to an end. The 35-year-old actress claimed that Depp had abused her several times. The Sun was then sued by the actor for calling him a “wife beater” in the British newspaper. Depp lost that case in the UK; the judge twice ruled that the newspaper could call him a woman-swatter. The actor has now filed a case in the US against his ex to prove his point. In turn, Heard also filed a case against Depp.
