Life Kim and Kanye rent cinemas to share messages By weekster Posted on January 16, 2020 1 min read Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Kim Kardashian (39) and Kanye West (42) were so impressed by Just Mercy that they wanted to give more people the chance to see the film. The couple plans to rent cinemas throughout the US and raffle the tickets. Just Mercy tells the true story of Bryan Stevenson, founder of the Equal Justice Initiative. That organization assists prisoners who cannot afford good lawyers themselves. The film follows Bryan Stevenson, played by Michael B. Jordan, during his first trial, that of the wrongly convicted Walter McMillian (Jamie Foxx). For the cinema promotion, Kim works together with Represent Justice, an organization of one of the producers of the film. The reality star has regularly worked for prisoners in the last two years and, together with a legal team, ensured that a number of them were released. This usually involved people convicted of relatively minor offenses who had received very long sentences for it.
