Kim Kardashian comes in the spring with a critical documentary she made in American prisons. In the two-hour documentary, the reality star exposes legal abuses and shows that a number of prisoners are improperly detained.

“There are many people who deserve a second chance, but many do not have the resources for this”

In the documentary, Kim Kardashian visits the detainees Dawn Jackson, Alexis Martin, Momolu Stewart and David Sheppard in their cells, talks to relatives and friends, lobbyes the authorities and consults lawyers.

Kim tells Variety that millions of people are victims of the American legal system. “I wanted to face these numbers and statistics,” says Kim, who also co-produced the documentary. “There are many people who deserve a second chance, but many do not have the means to do this. I want to help put these cases on the national map to bring about change. This documentary is a fair representation of my attempts to understand the legal system and with tangible results. ”

Two years ago, US President Donald Trump pardoned a prisoner after an interview with Kim. The release of Alice Marie Johnson inspired the reality star to make a documentary.

The documentary Kim Kardashian West: The Justice Project will be premiered on Sunday, April 5 at the American truce crime channel Oxygen.
