The singer has a taste for it and, according to Deadline, was cast in a film about the life of the Italian designer Maurizio Gucci. According to Deadline, Lady Gaga will give color to the role of Patrizia Reggiani, the ex-wife of Maurizio Gucci, next year. Maurizio Gucci is the grandson of Guccio Gucci, the founder of the world famous fashion brand. A completely different role than the naive Ally, who she played in A Star is Born. Patrizia Reggian is by no means a darling and was found guilty of the murder of her ex, who was shot in front of his office in 1995. Patrizia was sentenced to a prison sentence of 29 years, but was released early in 2016 after eighteen years. Why she killed her husband is still unclear, according to the media it would be revenge after he left her for someone else. According to her daughters, it was a brain tumor that drove her into madness. The film is directed by Ridley Scott, who previously crawled into the director’s chair for Blade Runner, Gladiator and American Gangster, among others. The script is based on the book The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamor, and Greed by Sara Gay Forden. It is the first acting job for the phenomenal singer since the overwhelming success of A Star is Born. She even won an Oscar for her interpretation of Shallow in the film.
