Life “No transgender character in new Marvel film” By weekster Posted on January 6, 2020 1 min read Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ The news about the introduction of a first transgender character in a Marvel film, that the big boss Kevin Feige (46) seemed to confirm earlier, is not entirely true. The Variety magazine reports this on Friday. Kevin Feige confirmed during a question round at the New York Film Academy in December that an LGBT character is being introduced into the Marvel universe (MCU) and that it would happen “very soon”. “In a film that we are currently making,” said the Marvel boss at the time. According to sources at Variety, that is therefore incorrect. According to them, he would have only addressed the question of whether such a character would come. He had no intention of suggesting that an “LGBT character” would be coming into the MCU “very soon”. According to Kevin Feige, the next Marvel production The Eternals does play a gay and a deaf character. That film should be released at the end of this year.
