NPO honors Rutger Hauer by broadcasting Heineken Kidnapping

NPO 3 broadcasts the feature film De Heineken Kidnapping Thursday as a tribute to Rutger Hauer. In the 2011 film, the actor played the role of the beer magnate who was abducted in 1983.

Due to the special programming, the Emergency Chefs and The Great British Skinny programs, which were scheduled between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. These programs are still broadcast during the night.

Rutger Hauer died on Friday at the age of 75 and was buried on Wednesday. He leaves behind an oeuvre of almost two hundred titles.

Filmmuseum Eye shows the film Spetters by Paul Verhoeven, the last film Rutger Hauer made before he left for Hollywood on 3 August. The actor plays the role of a famous motorcycle racer.
