Ozzy Osbourne (71) has Parkinson’s disease. The rocker announced this today in an interview with Good Morning America.

“It’s not a death sentence”

Ozzy was diagnosed after he fell early last year and had to be operated several times. According to his wife Sharon, the artist has a specific variant of the disease. “There are many different types of Parkinson’s; it is not a death sentence but it does affect certain nerves.”

The Briton no longer wanted to keep his health in secret. “I’m not good with secrets. I can’t walk around with them anymore because I have almost gone through all the excuses.” Ozzy hopes to be back on stage as soon as possible because he misses his fans. “I want to see my people again.”

Because of his health, the singer had to cancel several concerts last year. Sharon is confident that her husband will perform again. “He comes back again and he will do what he likes best: I know for sure.”
