Life Ryan Reynolds gets Spice Girls fans like a splinter Posted on December 16, 2019 2 min read Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Ryan Reynolds is following furious Spice Girls fans because of a scene in his new Netflix movie 6 Underground. The character that the actor plays in the action film that appeared on Friday shows clearly that he does not like the girl group, something that not all viewers could appreciate. Ryan has offered his ‘apologies’ for it on Twitter. In 6 Underground directed by Michael Bay, Spice Girls hit Wannabe is on the radio during one of the many car chases. Ryan’s character pulls the radio furiously and throws it out the window. “Ryan, please don’t tell me you really hate the Spice Girls,” was a tweet from a fan. The actor decided to respond immediately. “That song was added after the production. I would NEVER interrupt the Spice Girls. Never. Certainly not during a car chase. Then I need them the most.” Ryan was also confronted with the scene during an interview with Yaaas TV. The actor said he specifically asked the director not to use a song from the Spice Girls, mainly because otherwise he would have a fight with his wife Blake Lively. “The fact that Michael Bay used the Spice Girls … They are a kind of religion at my house. If my wife sees me pulling out the radio because the Spice Girls are being played, then I’m dead. The Spice Girls are great. “
