The Swedish prince Carl Philip and his wife princess Sofia had a night out together on Thursday. The two attended the concert in the Friend Arena in Stockholm in memory of the late DJ Avicii.

“Thank you for an unforgettable evening”

The couple shared a photo and two videos from the show via their official Instagram account. “Thanks @timberglingfoundation for an unforgettable evening”, added Carl Philip and Sofia, followed by a heart.

During the concert, friends of Avicii, who was actually called Tim Bergling, climbed the stage. David Guetta, Kygo and the Dutch DJs Laidback Luke and Nicky Romero, among others, played records. All proceeds go to the Tim Bergling Foundation, the foundation that his parents founded for young people who suffer from psychological problems and suicidal thoughts.

Carl Philip and Sofia, who is celebrating her 35th birthday on Friday, had a special relationship with Avicii. During the reception of their wedding in 2015, the DJ provided a performance. After his death, the couple said they were deeply shocked in a statement. “We are very happy to have met him, the couple said. We admired him as an artist and the wonderful person he was.”
