The cast of the popular Spanish series announced this week during a press conference in the heart of Madrid. Last Tuesday, Diego Avalos, responsible for the Spanish Originals at Netflix, announced that the series will be continued. And that’s no surprise, with over 20 million households devouring the first season within a month, the Spanish-language series is one of the largest drama series from Spain. Expectations are therefore very high for the second season, which will be available on Netflix from 6 September. According to producer Darío Madrona, that will be fine. “We wanted to maintain the speed of the series, but at the same time be innovative,” he revealed during the press conference. Some of those innovations are three new characters who will make their appearance this season. One of them is Lu’s brother Valerio, played by Jorge López. Claudia Salas plays Rebeca, who teaches Samuel to box. Georgina Amorós gives life to Cayetana character, an infuencer with more than 39k followers. “In the first season we were aware that we were making a series for Netflix and we were trying to do everything we could,” said Darío Madrona in Madrid. He added: “For season two, we thought we had the opportunity to also explore the characters and the new ones. But it was an instinctive decision. “ The new season will, like the first, consist of eight episodes and is all about a mysterious disapearance. Élite season two can be seen from 6 September on Netlfix.
