Life Timothee Chalamet in the race for the role of young Bob Dylan By weekster Posted on January 10, 2020 1 min read Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Actor Timothee Chalamet (24) is going to play the young Bob Dylan in a new film by Ford v Ferrari directed by James Mangold. Negotiations with the actor are currently ongoing, writes Deadline. The actor plays Dylan in the period that he is about to break through as a folk singer, but to the fright of his fans he trades his acoustic guitar for an electric guitar and an amplifier. Timothee received rave reviews for his role in Little Women. This year he makes his theater debut in London and he will probably only start his Bob Dylan after that, at the end of May. It is not clear whether the actor will also sing Dylan’s famous songs. He would already be taking guitar lessons. Dylan himself actively contributes to the film as an executive producer, who does not yet have an official title, but does have a working title: Going Electric. For director Mangold it is the second film about an iconic musician, after his Johnny Cash film Walk The Line.
