Frozen voice actor Josh Gad worked on the script together with Once Upon a Time creators Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis. However, the men did not agree with Disney about the creative vision of Muppets Live Another Day, after which the plug was pulled out. The series would immediately take place after the movie The Muppets Take Manhattan (1984) and are about Kermit, who wants to bring the grown-up doll group back together. Yet Muppets enthusiasts keep something to look forward to. Another series will appear on Disney + next year: Muppets Now in which, just like in the classic The Muppet Show, various famous guests can be seen.
