The actress who played housekeeper Rosario in the sitcom died Sunday at the age of 83. “She was absolutely hilarious and she had the biggest heart” “What a sad news,” writes Sean Hayes, who plays Jack in the series, with a photo of his former colleague on Instagram. “Our beloved Shelley Morrison has passed away. My heart is crying. Shelley, her beloved husband Walter and their children are in my mind. Thank you for your friendship and Shell partnership. You have achieved great things in this world. You will be missed. ” Eric McCormack (Will) also responded on Twitter. “Shelley was a wonderful soul and a great actor. Her work as Rosario was nuanced, grounded and hilarious season after season. She will be missed by everyone at Will & Grace, she was a big part of the show. Lots of love for Walter and her family. ” Morrison died of heart failure on Sunday. Between 1999 and 2006, the actress appeared in 68 episodes of Will & Grace as the undervalued domestic help of Karen, who later married and then divorced Jack again. The makers asked the actress back for the reboot of the series that started in 2017, but Morrison was now retired and had no interest in a return.
