Life Politics Netflix comes with nature documentary film again By WeeklyNews staff Posted on July 16, 2019 1 min read Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ After Our Planet, Netflix is again making a nature documentary. In Oceans, the streaming service takes a close look at the underwater world. In the documentary series, each episode will cover a different ocean, Netflix said in a press release. “The oceans on this planet cover 70 percent of the surface, but little is known about the unique nature of each ocean. The series will celebrate the diversity of our planet’s greatest habitats and the extraordinary creatures that live in them.” The new show is part of a deal that Netflix has concluded with producer James Honeyborne, the man behind BBC’s Blue Planet II. Earlier this year, the streaming service plunged into the natural world for the first time with Our Planet, in which voice-over David Attenborough mainly gave the viewer a nature conservation message. That series was therefore made in collaboration with the World Wildlife Fund. It will be a while before Oceans can be seen on the streaming service. According to Deadline, production will start this fall.
