According to the plan, Switzerland could select which EU migrants are welcome. Opponents fear damage to the economy. Two thirds of the 2.1 million foreigners in Switzerland come from the EU, Iceland, Norway or Liechtenstein. Conversely, 450,000 Swiss live in the EU. Additionally on Sunday the people agreed to buy new fighter planes.
