Science&Tech Facebook offices in California cleared, possibly nerve gas sarin found By WeeklyNews staff Posted on July 1, 2019 1 min read Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ In the US state of California, some Facebook offices have been evacuated after the sarin gas sarin may have been found in a package. Two people who came into contact with the mail are being investigated. The mail was delivered yesterday morning local time to a mailroom of the company in Silicon Valley. A routine check with a machine showed that an item of mail contained an unknown amount of sarin. The environment was then closed off and additional tests were carried out. Authorities have not yet confirmed that it is indeed sarin, as the machine indicated. The FBI is on site and assists with the investigation. Three of the four offices that have been vacated have since been released. Sarin can come into contact with skin as a liquid or gas and is fatal.
