Apple has closed all official Apple Stores on mainland China due to the outbreak of the new 2019-coronavirus, reports Reuters news agency. The stores will remain closed until 9 February.

Earlier this week, Apple announced it would close one Apple Store in China and set shorter opening times for the other stores, writes The Verge. In consultation with Reuters, the company did not want to comment further on the decision to close all stores.

Several tech companies took measures regarding the corona virus last week. For example, Facebook decided on Tuesday that employees may no longer travel to China.

LG also informed Reuters that it had introduced a complete travel ban to China: employees who are on a business trip in China are advised to return home as quickly as possible.
