Jurriaan Theloosen is the new general manager of the Bilderberg Europa Hotel in Scheveningen. Here, he is leading the large-scale renovation that will give the hotel a top position in the resort’s hotel industry. With almost 20 years of experience within Bilderberg, he is the right man, in the right place. Theloosen started his Bilderberg career in 2003 at the then Bilderberg Hotel ‘Klein Zwitserland’ in Heelsum, where he held various positions in Front Office, Group/Banqueting Reservations for nine years and was responsible for Banqueting/Sales at Bilderberg Kasteel Doorwerth. After a brief foray at Mercure Nijmegen, he then moved to Novotel Eindhoven. In 2017, he returned to Mercure Hotel Nijmegen Centre as general manager and in 2021 he was appointed general manager at Bilderberg Grand Hotel Wientjes in Zwolle. The renovation of the Bilderberg Europa Hotel is taking place in phases. A number of completely renovated rooms have already been completed and from the reopening, in mid-July, the hotel will have 178 rooms in various types, from Suites with sea view and Deluxe rooms to family rooms. “This will be the brightest hotel in Scheveningen,” Theloosen said of his ambitions in Scheveningen. “We have the perfect location, a strong team that has been inducted by Bilderberg and has hospitality from this company all over. With this team we can grow. At this location, we receive many leisure and weekend guests, but with 10 meeting rooms and close to the international city of The Hague, we are also an excellent match for the business market.”
