Consumer confidence in the United States rose in February compared to a month earlier. This is shown by a final grade from the University of Michigan.

The index that reflects sentiment among American consumers went to a state of 93.8. In January, the index was 91.2.

In January the indicator was still at the lowest level in more than two years, partly due to concerns among Americans about the shutdown of the government and the negative consequences for the economy.
