Heineken has found his first director for digital activities in Ronald den Elzen. With the appointment, which starts immediately, the brewer wants to boost its digitization.

Den Elzen has been working at Heineken for 25 years. Until recently he was general manager for the brewer in the United States. In his new role, he must steer the further development of online marketing and beer sales in the right direction.

Heineken also announced that Marc Gross, the final responsible for supply chains, will resign in April. Gross was also a member of the executive board of Heineken. There he is succeeded by Magne Setnes, who is now general manager of subsidiary Brau Union.
