Airline KLM will stop selling tax-free items on board European flights as of July. The works council of the company has approved a proposed decision on this from the management. From January 2020, these products will also no longer be available on board intercontinental flights. With the rise of e-commerce, the sale of these products is no longer in line with passenger products, the company reports. For years, KLM has been offering tax-free items on board their flights. The prices of these products are often lower online. The range of competitors at airports is also increasing.
