Credit Suisse CEO Tidjane Thiam says goodbye to the Swiss bank. He will resign on February 14. Since 2015, Thiam has been in charge of Credit Suisse. Recently there was a lot to do at the bank due to a espionage scandal around top banker Iqbal Khan who switched to competitor UBS. He was chased by private investigators. The order to follow Khan came from the top of Credit Suisse, causing the bank to become discredited. Operational director Pierre-Olivier Bouée, who would have given the order to watch, resigned due to the issue. Thiam probably didn’t know about the espionage assignment. Credit Suisse has already found a replacement for Thiam. Thomas Gottstein becomes the new top man. He currently heads the Swiss branch of Credit Suisse.
