British Prime Minister Boris Johnson (55) has been released from a hospital in London where he was treated for the corona virus. He cannot start work immediately, first he will go to his country home to recover further.

“I owe my life to them”

Exactly a week ago, Johnson was admitted to St Thomas’ hospital in London, ten days after he tested positive for the coronavirus. He was confronted with a violent course of illness, where he even had to spend several nights in intensive care.

According to The Guardian, Johnson has constantly tried to radiate outwardly that he was feeling well, but there have been fears that Johnson may not survive the illness. The politician has therefore praised the doctors and nurses for the ‘exemplary care’ he has received. “I owe my life to them. I cannot thank them enough,” said the prime minister.

In Johnson’s absence, he transferred his duties to Secretary of State Dominic Raab. It is not yet known when Johnson will return to his old position.
