Charlize Theron is not going to finish her playing yet

Charlize Theron may have received an oeuvre prize on Sunday, but the actress is not about to stop. “I see it more as recognition for my career so far,” said the 44-year-old about the American Cinematheque Award.

“Her career shows that her immense talent cannot be put in a box or can be limited”

The actress also thinks that she is a bit too young for a career award, she told Entertainment Tonight prior to the ceremony. “I also thought they had made a mistake. But let’s not talk too hard about it before someone thinks here: wait a minute, she shouldn’t get that oeuvre prize at all.”

The American Cinematheque Award is awarded annually to “an extraordinary filmmaker who works enthusiastically and makes a significant contribution to the world of film.”

In a report, the jury of the organization praises Charlize for her contribution to the film world and for refuting outdated ideas about what an actress and producer can do. The jury chairman said: “Her career does show that her immense talent cannot be placed in a box or that it can be limited.”
