Daniel Radcliffe no longer needs a ‘Harry Potter-like’ role

If you say Daniel Radcliffe (30), you say Harry Potter. The British actor is so inseparably linked to the role of sorcerer’s apprentice that it is hard to imagine that he has also played in other productions. Daniel (30) tells Variety why he would rather not work on a long-term project like Harry Potter.

“I am not saying that I will never return to such a franchise, but I do like the flexibility that I now have in my career,” he says in the trade journal. “I also don’t want to be in a situation where I have been joining one series for years.”

Whether he will ever return to the Harry Potter Fantastic Beasts spin-off if the sorcerer’s apprentice seems out of the question. “I don’t think so. I don’t like to say no, but it’s not what I’m looking for. I think those films have gone further and that they are doing fine without us. I also like to keep it that way, my life is great. “
