Life Despite Corona, R. Kelly is not allowed to leave prison Posted on April 7, 2020 1 min read Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ An American judge has denied R&B singer R. Kelly’s request for temporary release from captivity. The singer had made that request for fear of becoming infected with the corona virus in prison, American media report. Kelly suggested house arrest with ankle strap instead of the cell. That was rejected by the judge because in the prison where the singer is detained, no one has yet been infected with the corona virus. In many other American prisons, several people have been infected. The New York prosecutor who is hearing the case against the singer said he was complained a day earlier and therefore asked the judge not to comply with Kelly’s request.
