His agent informed the American media on Friday. “The world has lost one of the best actors” “The world has lost one of the best actors who was also a great person,” said the agent. Aiello, who turned 86, leaves behind his wife and four children. The actor scored his first small film role in the 70s alongside Robert De Niro in Bang The Drum Slowly. Shortly thereafter he appeared as Tony Rosato in The Godfather: Part II. Aiello did more than a hundred acting jobs in total. He was still active as an actor. His latest film The Italy Boys is to be released next year.
