Life Dolly Parton will read to the children online Posted on April 1, 2020 1 min read Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Now that her own documentary, “The Library Dolly Built” has not yet appeared in the movie theater because of the coronavirus, Dolly Parton (74) decided to read children’s tales once a week before bedtime. Her online program is called “Goodnight with Dolly” The documentary that the singer made covers the work of Dolly for her non-profit foundation Imagination Library. Since its creation in 1995, more than 135 million books have been donated to American children, and currently 1.5 million books are donated monthly to children around the world. However, the coronavirus delayed Doc until September. Although this is obviously the right thing to do right now, putting off a documentary is a disappointment for me. There have been so many events that have been associated with my foundation that would be useful mainly to children. But we will just do it later, – says Dolly.
