Neon joked on Twitter: “We understand, he can’t read.” “Parasite” is completely Korean spoken and therefore subtitled, an unusual experience for American film viewers. “What the hell is that about?” During an election meeting in Colorado, Trump announced on Thursday that he was not happy with the Oscar win for Parasite. “How bad were the Academy Awards this year, have you seen that?” He asked his audience. “The winner is a film from South Korea. What the hell is that about? We have enough trade problems with South Korea, and then you give them the award for best film of the year?” Parasite wrote history at the Oscar ceremony on 9 February by being the first non-English-language film to win the Oscar for best film. The film also won the images for best direction, best screenplay and best foreign film.
